About Misbah

Syed Misbah Uddin Qadri is a dynamic individual who has an extensive background in the Electronic media industry of Pakistan. He has excelled in various roles, including as a professional TV Director, consultant, trainer, and entrepreneur.
Misbah holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from NED University Karachi and a Master’s degree in Journalism with first-class honors and the second position from Federal Urdu University, Karachi.
With a career spanning around two decades, Misbah’s journey began with PTV and later extended to prominent channels like GEO TV, CNBC Pakistan, SAMAA TV, Dawn NEWS TV, and BOL TV. His expertise lies in planning and executing live transmissions and special events such as Elections, budgets, and marathons.
In recent years, Misbah transitioned into the field of Sports TV direction, working as a TV Director and Vision Mixer Director for both Domestic and International tournaments, including Quid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan Cup, KPL, KTPL, and UAE Summer Bash.
Apart from his field experience, Misbah has also been actively involved in academia as an adjunct and permanent faculty member since 2010. He has contributed his expertise to various educational institutions, including Bahria University, Greenwich University, Iqra University, NED University, and Zia Uddin University.

As Media Professional

Misbah began his career in the Electronic media industry as a Broadcast Engineer at Pakistan Television in 1999. During his time there, he had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed TV Directors like Hyder Imam Rizvi, Kazim Pasha, Sahira Kazmi, Iqbal Lateef, Qasim Jalali, Tajdar Hyder, and many others. After gaining valuable experience at Pakistan Television for 3 years, Misbah made a significant move in 2003 by joining Pakistan's first private news TV channel, Geo TV. At Geo TV, he assumed the responsibilities of being the head of quality assurance and shift in charge. Additionally, Misbah became a vital part of the immensely popular show "Aaj Kamran Khan kay Sath." In 2005, Misbah's career took an international turn as he seized an opportunity to work with CNBC Pakistan, the country's first international TV channel. At CNBC Pakistan, he played a crucial role in executing news, business, and economic-based live programs. During his tenure there, he also contributed to their sister TV channel, Samma TV, by participating in the installation and designing process. In 2011, Misbah further advanced his career by joining Dawn News TV as Head of PCR, where he oversaw the operation of 3 PCRs for round-the-clock broadcasting. In February 2015, he joined BOL TV as Assistant Manager Broadcast, and there he was responsible for managing all live and recorded programs related to news and current affairs. However, due to crises in the BOL group, he eventually decided to leave the job. In September 2015, Misbah took on the role of Head of Operations at Business Plus TV and Zaiqa TV. He also gained experience working as the General Manager at Faiz TV (Web TV).

As a Digital Media Content Developer

In the modern media world, Misbah operates two YouTube channels. One of them is called "WePlayPrime," where he conducts interviews with various media personalities, including directors, producers, anchors, writers, actors, and reporters. Additionally, he analyzes international media content and provides reviews on movies. WePlayPrime also serves as Misbah's venture, offering Video Production Facilities. On his second YouTube channel, "Raaheb Solution," Misbah generates educational and learning content. The main objective behind this channel is to enhance the skills of the audience. Misbah and his team aim to assist school, college, and university students in achieving good marks in their exams. The channel focuses on providing valuable educational resources and support for academic success.

As an Educationalist

Besides gaining field experience, Misbah has been associated with academia as an adjunct and permanent faculty member since 2010 up to the present. He has worked for several universities, including Bahria University, Greenwich University, Iqra University, NED University, and Zia Uddin University. Misbah's areas of expertise lie in Media Sciences, particularly Broadcasting, Direction, TV Production, Camera and Lighting Techniques, and Media Psychology. Additionally, in the field of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, he used to teach courses such as Digital Electronics, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Communication Techniques, Satellite Communication, and Radio & Television Broadcasting. He actively participates in various seminars, workshops, and guest speaker sessions.

As Consultant & Trainer:

Misbah works as a consultant and trainer for Satellite and Web TV Channels, Media, and Production houses. He previously served as a Consultant and Trainer at Madni TV, where he trained hosts, producers, directors, and other technical staff to enhance the channel's performance. Additionally, he has provided his services as a consultant and trainer to several web TV platforms, helping them improve their digital content development and management skills.

Tv Director

Misbah started his directing career at CNBC Pakistan in 2005, where he joined as a Vision Mixer Director. He received training on various video switchers and learned vision mixing techniques from directors at BBC and CNBC Arabia. During his time at CNBC Pakistan and Samaa TV, he directed thousands of live programs, including news, economics, and current affairs programs. He also directed special transmissions such as elections, budgets, and marathons. In addition to News and current affairs TV shows, Misbah also directed musical shows, entertainment programs, interviews, and corporate events. In 2020, Misbah got the opportunity to enter the field of sports direction. He made his debut in domestic cricket TV direction during the 2020 Quid-e Azam trophy. Subsequently, he embarked on a long series of sports direction projects, both domestic and international, such as the Pakistan Cup, National Women's Cup, Kashmir Premier League, and Karachi Tapeball Premier League. Additionally, Misbah also directed UAE and ICC sports events, including the Dubai Summer Bash and D-20 Ajman Cup.
